Privacy Policy
Workers Registry – Offline Workforce Management
✓ No data collection • Offline only • No third‑party sharingEffective date: April 3, 2026
App name: Worker Registry (the “App”)
Developer: [Your Name / Company Name] – contact: privacy@yourdomain.com
1. What information does the App handle?
You (the business owner or manager) may voluntarily enter the following information into the App. This data is stored locally on your device’s internal storage using an encrypted SQLite database:
- Worker information: name, role, daily wage rate, active/inactive status, date hired, and optional notes.
- Attendance records: date, attendance status (Present/Absent/Late), hours worked, overtime hours.
- Payment records: payment amount, payment date, period covered (start/end), payment method (e.g., cash, M-Pesa, bank), reference/transaction ID, and optional notes.
The App does not require, collect, or store any sensitive personal data such as government IDs, bank account numbers, passwords, precise location, contacts, or biometric data.
2. Do we collect or share any data?
No. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any data off your device. There is no internet permission, no remote server, no cloud sync, no analytics, no crash reporting tools, and no third‑party libraries that send data.
When you use the “Share Report” button, the App creates a plain‑text report and invokes Android’s standard share intent, allowing you to choose another app (e.g., email, messaging) to send the report manually. This action is initiated by you, and the App itself does not access, log, or retain any information about that sharing action.
3. How is your data protected?
All data resides exclusively on your Android device. Security depends on the physical and digital protection you apply to your device (screen lock, encryption, up‑to‑date OS). The App does not have any backdoor or remote access. If you uninstall the App, all associated data is permanently deleted from the device. You can also clear the App’s data manually via Android Settings → Apps → Worker Registry → Storage → Clear Data.
4. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has entered personal data into this App, simply delete the relevant entries or clear the App’s data on the device.
5. Compliance with Google Play policies
This privacy policy is provided to comply with Google Play’s “Data safety” and “User Data” policies. Because the App handles no internet transmission and collects no user data, it falls under the category of apps that do not collect or share personal information. The App also does not provide any financial services (loans, banking, payments processing); it is purely a local record‑keeping tool for businesses.
6. Your rights and control
You have full control over all data stored in the App:
- View, edit, or delete individual workers, attendance records, or payments directly within the App.
- Delete a worker – all associated attendance and payment records will be automatically removed (due to database cascade).
- Reset the entire App by clearing its storage from Android system settings or by uninstalling the App.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected by the “Effective date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
